Accountabilities

  • Own the SEO and AEO roadmap, including priorities, timelines, KPIs, execution, reporting, and continuous optimization.
  • Assess existing organic-search initiatives, identify opportunities for improvement, and establish scalable processes for ongoing growth.
  • Develop and execute content strategy through keyword research, topic clustering, editorial prioritization, content briefs, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead technical SEO initiatives covering site architecture, crawl optimization, indexation, Core Web Vitals, schema markup, and overall search accessibility.
  • Build the AEO strategy from the ground up, improving how the organization is understood, surfaced, and cited across AI-powered search experiences such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Claude.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the SEO team by setting priorities, clarifying ownership, reviewing work, and creating accountability for results.
  • Use data and performance reporting to connect organic-search activity with business outcomes, identify trends, and recommend actionable next steps.
  • Continuously adapt SEO and AEO strategies as search behavior, AI technologies, and ranking and discovery mechanisms evolve.
  • Collaborate with marketing and other stakeholders to ensure organic growth initiatives support broader business priorities.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of professional SEO experience, including 3–5+ years in an SEO Manager or comparable leadership role.
  • Strong hands-on experience across both technical SEO and content SEO, rather than a role focused solely on strategy or reporting.
  • Demonstrated ownership of an SEO roadmap from prioritization and execution through reporting, optimization, and iteration.
  • Hands-on experience with Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and/or Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), with a strong understanding of how AI is changing search and content discovery.
  • Practical experience using AirOps or a similar AI-powered SEO/content workflow tool.
  • Strong technical SEO capabilities, including site architecture, crawl optimization, indexation, Core Web Vitals, and schema markup.
  • Proven content-strategy experience covering keyword research, topic clustering, editorial prioritization, and development of effective content briefs.
  • Previous experience managing and developing an SEO team, including delegation, coaching, work review, priority setting, and performance accountability.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities, with the ability to connect organic-search performance to meaningful business outcomes and translate data into recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to explain complex search concepts clearly.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and take ownership in a fast-moving, growth-oriented environment.
  • Strong interest in emerging AI and automation technologies and their practical application to marketing and search.
  • Professional English proficiency and the ability to work effectively in a distributed international environment.

Benefits

  • 100% remote work.
  • Competitive compensation benchmarked against the LATAM SEO and digital marketing management market.
  • Compensation reviews every six months.
  • Performance-based bonuses.
  • Comprehensive global health insurance, including medical, dental, vision, mental health, and routine care.
  • Paid holidays and vacation.
  • Paid sick leave and family-care days.
  • Family-friendly policies, including parental leave and flexible support.
  • Continuous learning and professional-development opportunities.
  • A culture focused on growth, ownership, well-being, and continuous learning.
  • Opportunity to build and lead a growing SEO and AEO function from an early stage.
  • Direct exposure to emerging AI-search technologies and evolving approaches to organic growth.

AI Replacement Risk, explained

We rate every role on how much of the day-to-day work could plausibly be done by current AI tools within the next year or two. It's a judgment call, not a hard science, based on three questions:

Task repeatability — is the work mostly repeatable execution (drafting, formatting, routine audits), or judgment-heavy (strategy, negotiation, prioritization)?
Precedent — are AI tools already doing a meaningful chunk of this work well today, in production, somewhere?
Accountability — does the role carry a decision or relationship someone has to own, not just an output that has to exist?

LOW

Mostly judgment, negotiation, or ownership work. AI assists, it doesn't replace.

MED

A real mix of judgment and repeatable execution. Expect the repeatable half to keep shrinking.

HIGH

Mostly production or output work, with real AI precedent already in the wild.

This is our own read, not a scientific index. Treat it as a conversation starter before you apply, not a scorecard.
