Accountabilities
- Develop and execute SEO strategies to increase organic visibility, improve website performance, and drive qualified traffic.
- Conduct technical SEO audits and collaborate with development teams to address site architecture, crawlability, indexation, redirects, canonicalization, XML sitemaps, robots.txt, JavaScript rendering, duplicate content, and structured data.
- Monitor and improve Core Web Vitals, page speed, mobile usability, and overall website health.
- Recommend improvements to website structure, URL strategies, taxonomy, navigation, and internal linking to strengthen search performance and usability.
- Conduct keyword research, search intent analysis, competitive research, and search engine results page (SERP) analysis to inform content and optimization strategies.
- Develop SEO content briefs and actionable recommendations for blogs, product pages, landing pages, glossary pages, and other website content.
- Review and optimize existing content to improve relevance, rankings, user experience, and conversion potential.
- Implement or coordinate on-page SEO improvements, including title tags, meta descriptions, headings, internal links, image alt text, schema markup, and content structure.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve brand discoverability across traditional search engines, AI-powered search platforms, and large language model (LLM)-generated results.
- Use SEO platforms and analytics tools to monitor rankings, organic traffic, conversions, technical trends, and overall performance, translating findings into actionable recommendations.
- Support international and multilingual SEO initiatives, including hreflang implementation, localized content, regional URL structures, and market-specific requirements.
- Stay informed about search engine algorithm updates, technical SEO developments, structured data standards, content trends, and emerging GEO best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize SEO initiatives, communicate findings, and align optimization efforts with broader marketing objectives.
Requirements:
- At least five years of professional SEO experience, including hands-on technical SEO expertise.
- Strong understanding of crawling, rendering, indexation, canonicalization, redirects, structured data, XML sitemaps, and internal linking.
- Demonstrated experience creating SEO content briefs informed by keyword research, search intent, competitive analysis, and business objectives.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret performance data, identify technical issues, and uncover opportunities for improvement.
- Familiarity with SEO and analytics tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, or comparable platforms.
- Experience using AI-search or GEO tools, or monitoring brand visibility in AI-generated search results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to manage projects independently while working collaboratively across marketing, content, and development functions.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and adaptability in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Experience with enterprise, SaaS, cybersecurity, or B2B websites is preferred.
- Familiarity with international SEO, multilingual websites, hreflang, and localized content strategies is an advantage.
- Experience with SEO automation, reporting, data analysis, schema markup, entity optimization, and content structuring is preferred.
- Experience working with WordPress or another enterprise content management system (CMS) is a plus.
- Must be based in an eligible United States location. The role is fully remote, with a hybrid option available for candidates in the Chicago metropolitan area.
