Senior Digital Marketing Manager - Performance Marketing & SEO (Spanish Speaker)

📍 Tampa, USA | 🌎 Global Higher Education

This isn’t just another digital marketing role.

We’re looking for a senior digital marketing leader who wants to own growth—not simply manage campaigns. You’ll lead the digital acquisition and organic growth strategy across Spanish-speaking markets, connecting Performance Marketing, SEO, AI-powered search, analytics and conversion optimization to one clear goal:

Drive more qualified student enquiries, enrolments and sustainable growth.

You’ll have the autonomy to build the strategy, challenge the status quo, test new ideas and turn insights into action.

🎯 WHAT YOU’LL OWN

🚀 Performance Marketing

  • Lead end-to-end campaigns across: Google Ads • Meta • LinkedIn • TikTok • Bing
  • Own strategy, budgets, forecasting, audience targeting, creative testing, bidding, optimization and ROI across the full student acquisition funnel.
  • From awareness → consideration → conversion → remarketing → lead nurturing, you’ll continuously identify opportunities to improve performance and lead quality.

🔎 SEO & Organic Growth

  • Own the SEO strategy across: Technical SEO • On-Page SEO • Content • Keywords • Link Building • Organic Acquisition
  • Drive improvements across programme pages, landing pages, blogs and evergreen content while working closely with content, web and marketing teams.

🤖 The Next Generation of Search

Help shape how our organization is discovered in the evolving search landscape through:

GEO • AEO • LLM Optimization • AI Search Visibility

📊 Analytics, Conversion & Growth

  • Turn data into decisions through: GA4 • Google Tag Manager • Search Console • Attribution • Conversion Tracking • Meta Pixel/CAPI
  • Monitor CTR, CPC, CPL, CPA, Conversion Rate, ROAS, CAC and LTV and translate performance insights into meaningful growth.

🔥 WHAT MAKES THIS OPPORTUNITY DIFFERENT?

  • You’ll have real ownership. You won’t simply be handed a playbook and asked to follow it.
  • You’ll be expected to create the playbook. You’ll work across Marketing, Admissions, Content, Creative, CRM, Web Development and Regional Teams to connect digital performance with the outcome that matters:
  • More qualified students. Better conversion. Sustainable growth. And because this is higher education, the numbers have meaning.

Behind every enquiry is someone making an important decision about their education, career and future.

📈 WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

You’ll be expected to deliver measurable growth, including targets such as:

  • +20–30% Organic Traffic
  • +15–20% Qualified Organic Enquiries
  • +20–30% Growth in Target Keywords Reaching Google’s Top 10
  • 15–20 High-Quality Backlinks / Month
  • 10–15 New Referring Domains / Month
  • +15–20% AI Search Visibility

While continuously improving ROAS, CPA, conversion rates and lead quality across paid channels.

🧠 WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Seasoned professional with strong expertise in Digital Marketing is a must
  • Strong expertise across Performance Marketing + SEO
  • Hands-on experience with Google, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok & Bing
  • Strong knowledge of GA4, GTM, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs & Screaming Frog or equivalent tools
  • Practical experience with GEO, AEO and/or LLM Optimisation
  • Strong analytical, commercial and strategic mindset
  • Experience with conversion tracking, attribution, audience segmentation and marketing analytics
  • Excellent stakeholder and communication skills
  • Spanish fluency — essential
  • Professional English — essential for internal communication and collaboration
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Higher Education, EdTech or lead-generation experience is an advantage
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications or a related discipline is preferred

🌍 YOUR OPPORTUNITY

Join a fast-growing global higher education organization where digital is a key driver of international growth.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

✨ Shape international student acquisition strategy

🤖 Work at the forefront of AI and next-generation search

📊 Directly influence measurable business performance

🌎 Build growth across Spanish-speaking markets

🤝 Collaborate with talented teams across marketing, admissions and technology

🎓 Help more students discover opportunities that can shape their future

Southern Methodist University · Dallas, TX

Our Take:Worth noting the LinkedIn title and SMU's own internal HR title don't match (Manager vs. Strategist III), a useful thing to clarify at interview. Real scale behind it: a university serving roughly 12,000 students across 80+ countries.

AI Replacement Risk, explained

We rate every role on how much of the day-to-day work could plausibly be done by current AI tools within the next year or two. It's a judgment call, not a hard science, based on three questions:

Task repeatability — is the work mostly repeatable execution (drafting, formatting, routine audits), or judgment-heavy (strategy, negotiation, prioritization)?
Precedent — are AI tools already doing a meaningful chunk of this work well today, in production, somewhere?
Accountability — does the role carry a decision or relationship someone has to own, not just an output that has to exist?

LOW

Mostly judgment, negotiation, or ownership work. AI assists, it doesn't replace.

MED

A real mix of judgment and repeatable execution. Expect the repeatable half to keep shrinking.

HIGH

Mostly production or output work, with real AI precedent already in the wild.

This is our own read, not a scientific index. Treat it as a conversation starter before you apply, not a scorecard.
