About the Job

We're looking for an SEO Lead to take ownership of our affiliate portfolio and scale it. You'll work with some of the biggest publishers in the world and have a direct impact on revenue.

You'll drive SEO strategy across multiple affiliate sites spanning a wide variety of verticals, lead continuous go-lives into new markets, and manage a small team of SEO Content Managers. You'll have the autonomy to set direction, prioritize what moves the needle, and act fast when things change - because in SEO, they always do.

At WLX, SEO isn't a support function - it's a driving force. We have the resources, the management backing, and the hands-on expertise to make things happen. And unlike an agency, everything we build is ours: our own projects, run in close collaboration with the world's biggest publishers. That means real ownership, real impact, and no client briefs.

If you thrive on launching new projects, love the pace of a high-growth environment, and want to shape a growing portfolio worth millions across a constantly expanding range of verticals - this is the role for you. You'll report to the Head of Product and collaborate closely with publishers, vertical managers, and content teams to turn SEO opportunities into measurable business results.

This is what you'll do

  • Lead revenue expansion of existing affiliate sites: Develop and implement long-term SEO strategies, optimize high-value pages for rankings and CTR, and own backlink campaigns across multiple affiliate sites.
  • Launch new affiliate sites end to end: From keyword clustering, topic mapping, content structure, and coordinating stakeholders to take new sites live from scratch.
  • Drive on-page and off-page performance: Conduct content audits, improve SERP feature capture, manage link-building tactics, and work with agencies and publishers to strengthen domain authority.
  • Identify and unlock growth opportunities: Research publishers, size new markets, assess domain authority and traffic trends, and weigh expansion options against business growth frameworks.
  • Manage and develop a team of SEO Content Managers: Set clear priorities, hold people accountable, coach for growth, and have the hard conversations when needed.

This is what you’ve got

  • Substantial on-page and off-page experience in SEO, with a track record of driving organic growth at scale.
  • Proven experience managing a team and getting the best out of people while keeping standards high.
  • C2 German and fluent in English (C1+), you can operate confidently with stakeholders in both languages.
  • Ideally based in Berlin, although we're also open to remote candidates
  • Analytical and structured - you prioritize what matters, communicate clearly, and make decisions under pressure.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, flat, startup-style environment.
  • Experience in iGaming or other affiliate marketing industries is a plus.

Beyond our own sites, We Love X constantly incubates new, performance-marketing-driven business models – from first idea to international scale.

AI Replacement Risk, explained

We rate every role on how much of the day-to-day work could plausibly be done by current AI tools within the next year or two. It's a judgment call, not a hard science, based on three questions:

Task repeatability — is the work mostly repeatable execution (drafting, formatting, routine audits), or judgment-heavy (strategy, negotiation, prioritization)?
Precedent — are AI tools already doing a meaningful chunk of this work well today, in production, somewhere?
Accountability — does the role carry a decision or relationship someone has to own, not just an output that has to exist?

LOW

Mostly judgment, negotiation, or ownership work. AI assists, it doesn't replace.

MED

A real mix of judgment and repeatable execution. Expect the repeatable half to keep shrinking.

HIGH

Mostly production or output work, with real AI precedent already in the wild.

This is our own read, not a scientific index. Treat it as a conversation starter before you apply, not a scorecard.
