Job Description

Landing Page SEO & AEO Strategist

Our client is an AI technology company.

5x in office - San Francisco

The Role

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role at the intersection of Agent Engine Optimization, AI search, SEO, PPC, content, and growth.

You will help build our Agent Engine Optimization practice, enabling customers to increase their visibility across AI agents and emerging search experiences, with SEO serving as the technical and strategic foundation.

You will work directly with customers to understand their search strategy ( Paid & Organic ), use our platform to generate and launch landing pages at massive scale, and refine the output when the technology does not fully address a specific use case. You will optimize these pages for paid search as well as organic search rankings.

You should be strategic enough to advise customers, technical enough to learn and operate new tooling ( bonus points for adding features ), and practical enough to fill gaps manually when needed. This is not a software engineering role, but it is well suited to someone who is highly technical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with emerging AI products.

You will also help shape a new product and service offering, turning early customer needs into repeatable strategies, workflows, and product insights.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop strategies that improve how customers are discovered, understood, and surfaced by AI agents and emerging search platforms.
  • Partner with customers to understand their SEO goals, target audiences, search intent, and landing page strategy.
  • Advise customers on Agent Engine Optimization, AI search, technical SEO, and scalable landing page programs.
  • Drive Landing Page strategy for PPC campaigns
  • Use our platform to generate, refine, and launch high volumes of landing pages.
  • Adapt AI-generated content for specific keywords, audiences, products, locations, and customer use cases.
  • Build repeatable workflows that support the delivery of 30 or more landing pages per week.
  • Apply strong editorial and SEO judgment to improve quality where automated output falls short.
  • Identify emerging patterns in AI discovery and translate them into customer recommendations, delivery practices, and product insights.
  • Identify recurring product gaps and translate customer feedback into actionable insights for the broader team.
  • Help define the standards and best practices for a new category of AI-powered growth.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience in SEO, organic growth, search strategy, or a related field, including technical and programmatic SEO.
  • A strong point of view on how AI agents are changing search, discovery, and customer acquisition.
  • Experience creating or optimizing landing pages at scale.
  • A clear understanding of search intent, keyword strategy, content quality, and conversion.
  • Familiarity with Agent Engine Optimization, AI search, and emerging discovery behavior.
  • Experience working directly with customers, clients, and external stakeholders.
  • Comfort using AI tools, prompt-based workflows, and new software products.
  • Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail.
  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with fast, high-volume execution.
  • The ability to bring structure to an emerging product area where the playbook is still being written.
  • Comfort operating in an early-stage environment where products and processes are still evolving.
  • Use Claude Code ( or similar )

Nice to Have

  • Experience in agency, consulting, professional services, or customer success.
  • Familiarity with CRO, A/B testing, personalization, or paid search.
  • Experience with ecommerce, SaaS, or digitally native businesses.
  • Working knowledge of CMS platforms, analytics tools, HTML, or CSS.

Why This Role

You will help define how we deliver a new AI-powered growth product, work directly with customers on high-impact problems, and influence how the platform evolves.

This is an opportunity to move beyond optimizing for traditional search engines and help define how companies compete for visibility in an AI-agent-driven world.

You will work directly with customers, influence how our platform evolves, and help establish the strategies and operating model for an emerging category.

AI Replacement Risk, explained

We rate every role on how much of the day-to-day work could plausibly be done by current AI tools within the next year or two. It's a judgment call, not a hard science, based on three questions:

Task repeatability — is the work mostly repeatable execution (drafting, formatting, routine audits), or judgment-heavy (strategy, negotiation, prioritization)?
Precedent — are AI tools already doing a meaningful chunk of this work well today, in production, somewhere?
Accountability — does the role carry a decision or relationship someone has to own, not just an output that has to exist?

LOW

Mostly judgment, negotiation, or ownership work. AI assists, it doesn't replace.

MED

A real mix of judgment and repeatable execution. Expect the repeatable half to keep shrinking.

HIGH

Mostly production or output work, with real AI precedent already in the wild.

This is our own read, not a scientific index. Treat it as a conversation starter before you apply, not a scorecard.
